ABOUT DWELL MODERN & ALAN CABLIK

Alan Cablik: Atlanta Real Estate Trendsetter

Company Founder, Alan Cablik, graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in May 2001 with a degree in Building Construction Development and a certificate in City Planning. After graduating he accepted an offer from Draper and Associates, an Atlanta based construction scheduling firm.

His first project assignment was the Turner Campus Phase II building located off of Fowler Street (Atlanta, GA). Draper's role included scheduling and master planning for all phases of the project; from schematic and conceptual design all the way through construction. The next client assignment was The Atlanta Housing Authority (AHA). Here Draper acted as the Owner's representative and managed the development and construction for all of the AHA's properties. Following the Housing Authority work, Mr. Cablik was transferred to the Ft. Lauderdale office to serve as the scheduling consultant for many large condominium, hotel and commercial projects. Projects of note during that time included The Aqualina Trump Tower in Sunny Isles, the Ritz Carlton Di Lido at South Beach, and the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne. Mr. Cablik then went on to work in Draper's construction claims analysis department. The owner of the company was hired by clients and lawyers as an expert witness. In this position his role was to explore documents and create an as built schedule in order to assign delay and/or fault to certain parties involved in the project including preparing the owner for court dates or arbitration. Cases of note were Metric vs. Pages, Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne Claim, and Bear Creek Water Treatment Plant Claim.

In December 2002, while working for Draper and Associates, he was offered a Vice President position in, Anatek, Inc. which started in January of 2003. His roles included contract administration, scheduling, bidding/proposal, collections, project management, billing, and accounting. Since that time Anatek projects he has worked on or is currently involved with include: 17th Street Bridge, FAA Air Traffic Control Tower at Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport (HAIA), East International Terminal Embankment Phases I and II at HAIA, and the Cooper River Bridge in Charleston, SC.

While working for Draper and Associates, Mr. Cablik founded Cablik Enterprises, LLC. which completed its first single family residence in 2003 in Brookhaven (Atlanta, GA). Cablik Enterprises is a member of both the Greater Atlanta Home Builder's Association and The Urban Land Institute.

Currently, Cablik enterprises is completing a 12 unit town home development, Skyline at Edgewood, which presently has units available for sale. Other projects are forthcoming.
